Pixel 3 XL Leaks Shows Wireless Charging And Camera Samples

Another day and another Pixel 3 XL leak. By now the next Google flagship is quickly becoming the worst-kept secret this year. We have already seen multiple leaks including hands-on videos, photographs and 'in-the-wild' images as well.

Today's leaks show off the rumoured wireless charging, camera samples from the single rear camera and a closer look at the in-box accessories of what is probably the retail Google Pixel 3 XL unit. Let's take them one-step at a time.

Wireless Charging

Shown off by Russian tech blogger Maxim Khoroshev, the newest leaks reveal the Pixel 3 XL's wireless charging feature. The Video shows the blogger place the device on the wireless charging pad and the Pixel 3 XL wakes up with a charging animation.

In-Box Accessories

We got a look at a the box contents of the Google Pixel 3 XL retail unit in an earlier leak. This one gives you a clear look at everything you will get with the phone, presumably in all markets.

Camera Samples

Saving the best for the last, these are some of the camera samples shared by Khorshev on Instagram and on his own website.

The first thing you notice is the characteristic Google HDR look to the photos. If you have used and seen photos from Pixel 2 XL, then the Pixel 3 XL shots look a little too heavy on contrast. There's no knowing of course, whether Khoroshev has edited these photos before posting them. It's also entirely possible that the image processing algorithms are not final for this particular phone.

He does say, "Separately I want to mention the portrait mode, which works very badly at the moment. I hope the software will be fixed."

Khoroshev added that Google Pixel 3 and 3 XL announcement will be on October 4, and that smaller version will only differ in terms of a smaller notch-less display and a smaller battery unit. The cameras are expected to be the same on both phones.

Leaked Glamour Shots

Finally, we have some more leaked images of the phone which show the notch in all its glory in some glamourous shots.
